ohh shit !! its local land line number ..... i don’t know who the hell is going to bug my head on weekends?
...........once you are in corporate industry your mobile will surly ring up once in day for personal loans, investment scheme, etc. People get fed up these calls, so am i. Y don’t they give some loan to the poor farmer’s yaar, we are already earning enough to survive. When time comes to get a loan these bankers will be having lots of questionnaires and pre-requites with all * marks (Terms and conditions apply).

He wants to go for movie 3 Idiots on Saturday. This idiot will never watch movie if rating is not good, more over he won’t even allow to download it on his PC)
He booked 10:30 night show on Sunday in Mayajaal. We started at around 7:00 pm by public bus and got down somewhere between Adyar depot and Thiruvanmiyur to put something in our stomach for the further 3 idiot trip. While having Idly, Onion Dhosa and Utthapam with coffee in Shree Gupta Bhawan, I reminded him to take some cash from ATM; I was having only 150 bucks.

[ FYI : My love for Idly & Dhosa has increased exponentially after i landed in Chennai. Being 3 years in Calicut, i hardly remember when i finished my Dhosa fully in the main canteen. ]

Sunil paid the bill and we decided to take another bus from next stop to Mayajaal. We googled for Mayajaal before starting from room to find the exact location. It’s a place called Palavakkam on east coast road and we found that share autos too go till that place.

I asked one auto wala with all my expression and notations to make him understand that we want to go to Mayajaal in Palavakkam. Finally the only girl in blue sitting in the auto asked where u want to go Palavakkam or Mayajaal. She was local Chennai girl ....but not bad……. The girl explained Mayajaal is not in Palavakkam..... its kanatuur, 20 to 30 minutes further from that place……..

oohhhhhh shit, this much far. We are surly going to be in trouble while returning. okieeee we ll take bus from there…… chal be chalte hain .....

Finally we reached and enjoyed every minute of the movie. It was like flashback of three years of our college life. I don’t need to tell about the movie because if you have not yet gone for it please go; else you know it.

When we came out of the theater, it was approx 1:00 AM, I went to gatekeeper to ask for the public transport and said the only option is private auto at left side of the main gate.

Soon he said private auto my right hand went to my wallet, we forget to go ATM and I m having not more than 150 bucks & Sunil was left with around 200 bucks after paying for dinner…….. We decided not to take auto and go ahead making the night show more adventurous. We took one Kings each from a small tea shop and walked ahead towards nearest bus stop but there wasn’t any bus for next 10 mins ….. again we started walking…. after a bit of calculation and assumption Sunil concluded …… if we keep walking at this speed then in morning we will be in our room……

We reached toll gate where all the vehicles coming from Mahabalipurram and Pondichery had to stop to give the token money to enter the Chennai city. Buses were also stopping for around 30 secs……. the money collector said we can get bus from here….. we were waiting for the next bus to come….. Sunil tried confirming with conductor if it will go to our area, but no one replied and bus went……now it was my turn….. bus came and we went inside the bus……conductor gave us ticket for Mahabalipuram to Chennai…. We got down at Guindy and there we were lucky again …. One person had to go in same area and we shared a private auto… finally we reached DLF IT park …we walked towards our room with another cup of tea and a kings.

Finally two idiots came back to room at 3:30 AM.

Floating Rock in Rameshwaram

U must be knowing the story of Ramayana, and how Ram Setu bridge was created from Rameshwaram to Lanka. When Lord Ram went to Lanka with the monkey army, they crossed the ocean on a bridge of floating rocks. Many people do think that its just a story and how can a Rock float and people walk on the bridge made of floating rocks.

The floating rock present near Rameshwaram temple proves that there are rocks which can float. During my trip to Rameshawaram i got chance to visit Laksman Teertham and Ram Teertham near the temple, where i lifted a big rock. It was really heavy not less than 15 kg and still floating.

I googled and found that scientific name of a rock which has a property to float is Pumice. It is formed when lava and water are mixed. This unusual formation is due to the simultaneous actions of rapid cooling and rapid depressurization. The depressurization creates bubbles by lowering the solubility of gases dissolved in the lava. The simultaneous cooling then freezes the bubbles. Pumice has an average porosity of 90% and it do floats on water. More about the Pumic rock can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pumice.

Well i don't know if the floating rock which i saw in Rameshwaram was Pumic or something else but it was floating.

Mahabharata: Myth or Fact?

One of the week ends sitting with TV remote and i moved to Fox History & Entertainment. Mahabharata was going and a question slipped for Vinayak, Is it Myth or Fact? His answer was NO. I was not sure of the reality but it was tough for me to digest. After few mins of discussion, i thought it would be better to Google about it. At the end of day, no one would go through the boring opinions about this topic. I just browsed through few e-pages and my eyes started paining and i end up without any answer. All i could find is different views and evidences on both side. I ll go ahead for some more links later but really i want to know the reality behind this toipc.

Dancing n Delicious Diwali ...

A Very Happy Dewali to All ..... :)

I am in Chennai now and this is first Dewali in Chennai . Two months back i never expected that this Dewali will be in Chennai. After three consecutive years in Calicut during my post graduate i wanted to spend this Dewali with my family in my native place; but unfortunately i didn't get leave.
You will often listen big stories about the leaves in the corporate industry. They call it as sick leaves and "Privileged" leave. You can escape from office any day using Sick leaves, one sms to manager will be enough but they are limited not more than 5-8 days in a year so people do not waste them. For the planned leaves we are supposed to take privileged leave (PL), it may be 2- 3 days to couple of weeks. Here it has been named as "Privileged" leave but mostly the privileged term is considered for organization and not you. Same happened to me, i didn't get the privilege and i am in Chennai.

Last year i was in my college NIT Calicut during Diwali. It was a dancing dewali. Well we used to start dancing for any reason. But that evening as usual we all(my batch, juniors and sub juniors) were celebrating in the main canteen. One of my batch mate Mr. Abhay is a special personality who makes other do what he wants; sorry Abhay if u feel bad about this line but this is not in negative sense, truly speaking its a very strong quality. So every one was busy in dancing singing and what ever. But Abhay was in mood of slow dance. He started moving his body slowly and made others join him. At last the Diwali night ended as dancing dewali wid the slogan "GO SLOW". Even if someone tried to dance a bit fast, he made him move slow saying "go slow". I will check one suitable snap in my collection for this occasion and add it later.

oops ! i fully went into flash back. Actually those days were such all yours, late night movies all friends lying somewhere some how in the same room, mini canteen after 12, b'day bumps........

Okieee... how did this Diwali become delicious. Its initial days in Chennai, so do not know much about it but we heard that if you really want to enjoy the Diwali fire works in Chennai spend your evening at beach in Besant Nagar, one of the good beaches in Chennai and hanging place in weekends too. I thought of doing the same coz there wasnt much option left to enjoy the evening apart from some deep n candle lighting in the room. Again most of my new Chennai friends went home, so Vinayak was the only option left but he also didn't agree. He said,"मुझे घायल नही होना है। मैं नही जाऊंगा !" hmmmmmmmm Now the only option left was trying out something in kitchen. It was already late evening; so i rushed to spencers to get few stuffs but it didn't helped much. Next to spencer is Gupta sweets; the only sweet shop in my locality having north Indian items. While returning i ended up with two poly bag, one small one from spencer and a big one from Gupta sweets. In kitchen i tried cauliflower with lot of capsicum, poori (once till now) and sewaiyan.

May be you are thinking of where is crackers in Diwali ! Well i am not fond of crackers much from childhood itself. I hate pollution :P. Just imagine if every one starts celebrating dancing and delicious Diwali instead of crackling Diwali.

So there it was delicious Diwali !

Nothing special

Just wanted to post something to my blog. I don't have much idea about what to put up in the blog and how it could be organized. Now i was just browsing through some of my friends blog to have basic idea about ideas to put on later. And i hope, few days from now i ll be a smart blogger.
I am just hoping folks dont take this for granted coz my near ones knows what i am and what i can do and what i ll do. Okieeee i ll put a couple of lines about me too. So i am smart, cool and surley boring guy (as my friend say), always lazy in finishing up my work doesnt matter its personal/public/official/unofficial. Well, i would like to add up one more point to it, I am not much creative and good at sharing views n ideas so if at any point u find somthing uninteresting or unusual you may simply click the cross icon at top right corner to close this window.

Well i m in office now and i should move on to do some work rather than blogging in office timing.
So i ll b back soon wid some more updates.
